Buy Silhouette Soft to help correct your patients’ sagging skin. This product is a biocompatible surgical suture which was developed by leveraging poly-L-lactic acid, also known as PLLA. It is a non-toxic, and the PLLA thread contains glycolide cones which are all attached to needles that are 12cm long.
What makes a good candidate?
The patients that will benefit the most from Silhouette Soft are those who have extremely saggy skin, and wish to have a solid framework on their face for the skin to cling onto. Patients with lighter symptoms might be better off making use of other products in the line.
Areas Treated with Silhouette Soft
It is a solution that is solely targeted on sagging skin, and patients with extreme signs of these are the prime beneficiaries of the product. The areas where the sagging skin are located include:
- Nasolabial folds
- Marionette lines
How does Silhouette Soft work?
Silhouette Soft is an impressive product that is only minimally invasive, yet gives maximum results. The suture itself is created with a biodegradable and biocompatible PLLA polymer, or poly-L-lactic acid. On the suture, there are bidirectional cones that were attached there, and contain lactide glycolide, which is a combination of glycolic acids and lactic acid in an 18:82 ratio.
The PLLA sutures give the skin a lifting effect, and allow it to regenerate to regain some of its lost elasticity and youth. The area that is sagging is gently lifted and compressed once the suture is under the skin, and it also stimulates the production of collagen, enabling the solution to give a more lasting effect. The cones themselves also provide points of traction, so that the sutures are anchored securely into the surrounding tissue, which also leads to lowered risk of product extrusion and migration.
Only licensed medical professionals should be allowed to apply Silhouette Soft on patients. Prior to the treatment the doctor should assess where the best entry and exit points for the sutures should be in order to give the best effects. These areas should then be disinfected, and then the entry point must be punctured using the attached needle. Afterwards, insert the suture into the subcutaneous layer, and once the needle is in the appropriate depth, it should be withdrawn through the first exit point. Once the suture is mostly in the skin, cut of the needle while leaving a piece of suture exposed. This is then repeated for all sutures. Make use of the exposed ends of the suture for the cones to attach to the tissue. Then trim off and discard the excess suture material.
How long does Silhouette Soft last?
Actual duration of effects will also be dependent on the patient’s physiology and lifestyle, but generally speaking the product will show results for around 18 months, and up to 2 years.
This product is CE marked and PLLA sutures have been FDA approved for a while now. But It is also recommended certain patients should not use this product, including those who:
- Are pregnant or nursing
- Have allergies to any of the product’s components
- Patients with autoimmune disease
- Patients with infections or inflammation
Other Side Effects
Most of these are mild and will disappear within 1 week. If it persists, patients are recommended to immediately call the doctor.
- Slight pain
Patients should make use of ice packs to reduce any swelling that might occur. Their faces should be makeup-free for at least a day after treatment, and any skincare regimens should be applied carefully and gently. Extreme temperature conditions should also be avoided, as well as other dermal procedures and high impact sports for a few weeks. Any excessive face and neck movements should also be avoided during this time.
Cost of Silhouette Soft
There are three types of Silhouette Soft packages, differing in the number of cones in the thread lift, namely Silhouette Soft, 8, 12, and 16. They average at around $791, $848, and $904 respectively, and each package contains 5 packs with 2 sutures each, as well as 5 traceability labels.
